Admin Support Specialist (1)

Bright Hope is seeking a motivated Office/Project Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office and projects. Duties will include maintaining our social media presence, handling program inquiries, assisting program managers and directors, and other tasks as directed by the Executive Director.

This position will report directly to the Executive Director and will receive additional  guidance and supervision from the Program Managers and the Finance Officer for finance related matters. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain the organization's social media presence, including posting updates and engaging with followers.

  2. Respond to inquiries and requests for information about our programs promptly and professionally.

  3. Provide administrative support to program managers and directors, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and organizing files.

  4. Assist with the planning and coordination of events, meetings, and projects as needed.

  5. Perform general office duties such as answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining office supplies.

  6. Collaborate with team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

  7. Demonstrate excellent communication skills in all interactions with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

  8. Assist the Executive Director with any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred but not required. Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.

  2. Previous experience in an office or administrative role is preferred but not required.

  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  4. Proficiency in using social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

  5. Proficient in navigating excel, word, and powerpoint.

  6. Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  8. Flexibility and willingness to take on new tasks as needed.

Lifelong Learning Advocate (Preschool and Short-Term Program Teacher)

Bright Hope is seeking a passionate and dedicated Lifelong Learning Advocate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling classes for toddlers ages 1.8 years old to preschool children up to 4 years of age, as well as short-term programs and enrichment sessions for up to elementary aged children. This position will report directly to the Program Manager of Early Childhood Education.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities to engage and stimulate the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development of toddlers and preschool children.

  2. Create a nurturing and supportive learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and independence.

  3. Plan and conduct daily lessons, circle time activities, and group projects that promote language development, cognitive skills, and social interaction.

  4. Provide individualized attention and support to meet the needs of each child, including those with special learning requirements.

  5. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and development through regular updates, meetings, and parent-teacher conferences.

  6. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom, including following health and safety protocols and supervising indoor and outdoor activities.

  7. Introduce Jesus Christ to children through age-appropriate Bible stories, songs, and activities, fostering spiritual growth and development.

  8. Collaborate with other preschool staff and volunteers to coordinate special events, programs, and enrichment sessions.

  9. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.

  10. Stay current on best practices and trends in early childhood education through professional development opportunities and ongoing training.

  11. Attend and organize outreach activities, including those for persons deprived of liberty, their families, and their children, as part of our community engagement efforts.

  12. Perform all other tasks assigned by the Program Manager or the Executive Director.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Preschool or Elementary Education, or Special Education. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

  2. Passion for working with young children and a commitment to their holistic development.

  3. Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices.

  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.

  5. Sunday School teaching experience is a plus.

  6. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.

  7. Patient, compassionate, and empathetic attitude towards children and their families.
